Our Sun Devil Promotions culture is focused on unity and teamwork. We host events that get our people together outside the office, helping them build friendships with one another, and we also observe holidays as a team as well. For example, we are looking forward to enjoying Memorial Day together.
Memorial Day has a long and rich history. Accounts differ on how and when the holiday started depending on which part of the U.S. a person is from, but the act of decorating the graves of soldiers who died in battle is as old as war itself. Because of the huge number of families that had lost sons and fathers to the Civil War though, an official “Decoration Day” was created on May 30, 1868.
Since then, Memorial Day has been moved to the last Monday of every May and is seen by most as the start of summer. Parades and parties – including the Indianapolis 500 – mark the event. While we join in the revelry, Team Sun Devil Promotions also likes to observe the National Moment of Remembrance at 3 p.m., taking a moment to think of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Customs like our annual Memorial Day party keep our team united and our culture strong. Like Sun Devil Promotions on Facebook to see pictures from our holiday festivities.
